Ask your data — DataWise MYOB Connector

New

Stop building reports. Just ask.

Once your MYOB data is in a database on your own machine, you can point AI straight at it — and ask it anything, in ordinary English, as often as you like.

What it looks like

Who owes me money, and how long has it been outstanding?
You have 3 invoices more than 60 days overdue, totalling $777.25. The oldest is Harbourside Joinery at 94 days. Two of the three are the same customer — worth one phone call rather than three.
Compare this year's sales to last year, by month.
Sales are up 8.4% on the same period last year. The gain is almost entirely March and April; November was down 22% year on year, which is worth a look.
Put that in a Word document with a chart and a short commentary.
Done. Table by month, a column chart of the two years side by side, and a paragraph explaining the November dip.

It writes the document, not just the answer

This is the part people don't expect. Ask for a Word or Excel document and you get a real one — table, chart and written commentary. The sort of thing that used to mean half a day, or a call to your accountant.

Board and bank packs

Monthly figures written up, with the commentary already drafted.

Debtor chase lists

Who to ring, in order, with how long they've had it.

Anything one-off

The question you'd never build a report for because you only need it once.

Why the answers are right

This matters more than it sounds, and it's where most attempts at this fall over.

Accounting tables are full of columns that look like the one you want and aren't. Point AI at a raw accounting database and it will confidently pick the wrong one — and hand you a number that looks completely reasonable.

So the Connector ships with a written dictionary of your data: what every field actually means, which one holds the balance owing, how the tables join, and which columns to leave alone. The AI reads that first.

It's the difference between an answer that's plausible and an answer you can put in front of your bank.

Ask as much as you like

  • No per-question charge. Nothing is metered, nothing is throttled.
  • Instant follow-ups. "Now break that down by month" comes straight back — it's reading the copy on your machine, not queuing behind MYOB.
  • Your database stays put. The database file is never uploaded and DataWise never sees it. To answer a question, the figures needed are sent to Claude in the same way as anything else you type into it — so only what the question needs is involved, never the whole database. The detail is here, and the feature is optional.
  • It cannot change anything. Read-only by construction — it can answer, it can't edit.

What you need

The Connector, syncing a company file — and Claude Code on the same PC, signed in to a Claude account.

We give you a small folder of files to drop in. It finds your companies by itself; there's nothing to configure.

Things people ask on day one

  • Who are my top 10 customers this quarter?
  • Which invoices are more than 60 days overdue?
  • Compare this year's sales to last year, by month.
  • Has anyone who used to buy regularly stopped?
  • What did I spend last quarter, and on what?
  • Show me my bank transactions for last month.
  • What's my average invoice value, and how has it changed?

If it can't answer something from your data, it says so rather than guessing.
